In 1990 the Marathon course was changed for traffic
safety reasons. Jim Bower's course record is on the old course which
was entirely on the Avenue of the Giants. The fastest man's time on the
new Avenue/Bull Creek Road course is 2:27:28 by Kirk Burroows in 1992.
The fastest woman's time on the old course is 2:54:43 by Pat English
in 1981.
