Transportation

Dyerville Bridge, the race staging area is located about 45 miles south of Eureka, CA on the Avenue of the Giants highway. Driving time from San Francisco or Sacramento is about 5 hours, and from Portland ten hours. The nearest commercial airport is Eureka/Arcata, about 60 miles to the north. The Airport is serviced by United Express (800-241-6522) and Horizon airlines (800-547-9308), with flights to and from San Francisco, Portland, and Sacramento. Rental cars [from Alamo Car Rental (800-327-9633), Avis Rent A Car, Hertz Rent A Car, and National Car Rental (800-227-7368)] are available at the airport, though can be problematic after the late flights. There is also a shuttle service (Door-to-Door Airporter Shuttle Service 707-839-4186/888-338-5497), and several Taxicab companies which service the airport. Taxis include: Arcata-McKinleyville Yellow Cab (707-839-4437), Express Taxi (707-442-0900), and Yellow Cab of Humboldt County (707-445-1100).
